In Memory of 911 Firefighters
On March 14, 2014 Fire Marshall Adam Geaneas from Marathon Fire Rescue Station #14 on behalf of the Marathon City Fire Rescue Benevolent Association, unveiled their Memorial of the brave 911 Firefighters created by Zac Knudson of The Glass Artist from Coral Springs, Fl. The sculpture contains a structural beam from the World Trade Center Towers, that was recuperated from the debris. You can check out the 911 Firefighters Memorial Sculpture at the Marathon Fire Rescue Station #14. It is open to the public and a great monument to visit if you are in town.
